A farewell programme

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 6:58 pm

I had been rolling around the idea of a post called” Debris Fields” in my head over the holidays. It was going to be depressing - basically reflecting on the casualties left behind - people, places, things - destroyed in the relationship that ended in 2007. But then I went through all my Christmas cards from friends, reading what they wrote and looking at the happy photos enclosed in many, spent the holidays with my family, talked to my friends on the phone, and watched Season 6 of Sex in the City and realized what survived is far more vast, meaningful and important to me than anything left behind in the debris field. The holidays are over. 2007 is almost over. It’s time for me to put all the negative, the bad, the difficult, the lost, the emotionally draining stuff behind me.

was taking the last of the pictures for the next Kahruvel post (oh god, it’s coming! please stop shouting at me *sobs*) when a bloody great Pterodactyl flew over me. For a second I thought it was a repeat of the big fokker incident, but thankfully it turned out to be my mate (and long time Kahruvel lover) Douglas Quinn - a nice chap usually seen as a raven on the tower in Rodeo bay. Anyhoo, I managed to grab a quick snap of the event

A farewell programme was organised for the six FK(Fredskorpset) Exchange Programme students from Norway on 30th November, 2007 in the Main Auditorium foyer. The programme included the CSA volunteers, staff and the host families of the students. Volunteers presented a few songs and a dance for the gathering.
