I secretly hope

In the Medieval guild system, access to crafts and the ability to do work was heavily restricted. The Guilds thus were able get control over who got to be a barber, for example; and how many barbers there would be in any given town, and thus how much a barber could charge. It enforced a non-competitive world, (or limited competition at best).

The big news is that veteran Brianna Scurry is playing goalie today instead of Hope Solo for team USA. I am personally perplexed by the decision; Solo might be the best goalie in this tournament, and she hasn’t allowed a goal in 300 minutes.

Although Brazil has yet to beat the USA Women’s team in major competition, any soccer team wearing those yellow jerseys has a chance to win.

…but seriously it’s an intriguing thought to think that we may be seeing more queries about investing here from billionaires and millionaires alike. I just hope that our Superfunds can get in on the action too so that we can participate in big business in some way. And I secretly hope that if they do put money in PNG that they don’t do things too quickly in my industry so that maybe there’s some hope for me to become a billionaire too with sunnies from Gucci.
